In the middle of the storm, things are always going to look worse. You can’t see behind you clearly enough to see how exactly you got here, and you can’t see far enough ahead to see a way out. So, there you sit in the middle with the rest of the world swirling around you, throwing everything off course. Most often, these situations don’t appear in our lives with a set reason, or a clear path, they seem to slowly creep up and hit us when we’re least expecting it-sometimes it almost feels as though everything had been going just fine, how could it all go so marvelously shitty so quickly?
Most, if not all, of us have been there. At some point, you come to fork in the road internally. Now, there’s no right or wrong way, there is just simply a choice. We’ve all gone both roads at some point and still came out of the storm. However, the difference is, how much stronger you came out of it.
The biggest gains often come from the biggest gambles.. Or that’s what I’ve learned. The moment you decide in yourself that you are going to stand up and fight, then you have already gained, or reclaimed, back your power in the situation. If you have an honest faith in yourself to get through, you will. Granted, you may be a bit bruised and scarred, but those are battle scars. Those are your lessons that will stick with you for the rest of your life. If you find the blessings and gains in all the bad that you experience, then no experience will ever truly be ‘bad’. Down the line you can look back and realize the importance of the situation. It made you who you are now. The stronger you, the better you. If you can respect the situation for what it was, and its significance in your life, then you can let it go and keep your life movin.
